Many practitioners are unaware that Mental Health and Substance Use Disorder fall under the protection of the Americans with Disabilities Act and patients can qualify for protection, support and benefits. The purpose of this class is to help practitioners understand how to work with patients to help them navigate HR issues to improve their availability and compliance with treatment. Krystal Yates is an expert in HR and has been consulting with small to medium businesses to help employers and employees navigate through accommodations and protections afforded to individuals with disabilities. This is a 2-hour course and the cost is $50.00.

Cultural Diversity, Non-Violent Crisis Intervention are for those who work with adolescents, the adolescent CEU’s are required by the state.
Cultural Diversity is required by the state for all licenses. Non-violent crisis intervention is required by the state for those who work in treatment centers and have direct contact with patients, this includes front office staff, clinicians, techs and billing personnel. For people who work with teens in treatment, they are required to have specific training on adolescents.

Krystal Yates is a detail oriented HR expert with more than 15 years’ experience in Human Resources and Operations specializing in small businesses and job seekers. Prior to starting EBR, Krystal worked for several SMB companies in DFW with responsibility for HR, Operations, Finance, Marketing and Management.
Krystal attended Texas Tech and holds both the SHRM-SCP and SPHR certifications. Additionally, she is a Notary Public and has completed training with the Dale Carnegie Institute. Krystal serves on the board of Feral Friends Community Cat Alliance, is Trustee for The Longhorn Group of Charities Unit Accounting Trust, is on the planning committee for the annual Wags and Waves Fundraiser and mentors entrepreneurs and start up small business owners.
