Offender Education Classes

DWI Education Class

The required education for DWI First Offense (First Offender Program) is 12 hours in length and is completed in 3 days’ time. Upon completion, the required certificate is provided.

Cost is $75 and is offered monthly. Class sizes are limited and payment in full is required to reserve space. To register and pay for this class please call our office. You will also need to come in prior to the class and fill out paper work.

Once registered, we can notify your probation officer to confirm enrollment. If such notification is requested, please complete the release of information forms and return in to our office. Be sure to include the agents name and phone number.

April 28-30 in Frisco September 22-24 in Plano
May 19-21 in Plano  October 27-29 in Plano
June 23-25 in Frisco November 17-19 in Frisco
July 28-30 in Plano December 15-17 in Plano
August 25-27 in Frisco

***Classes start on Friday 6p-10p, Saturday and Sunday 9a-1p***

Must attend all classes in order to successfully complete class and receive certificate of completion.

 

“Article 42.12, Section 13 (h), Code of Criminal Procedure requires persons convicted of first offense DWI and receiving probation to attend and successfully complete and educational program certified by the department. Failure to complete the program within 180 days (unless an extension was granted) from the date probation was granted will result in license revocation of the offender. The license cannot be reinstated until educational courses are complete.”

 

Repeat Offender Program (DWI Intervention)

The required education for DWI Intervention (Repeat Offender Program also known as ROP class) is 32 hours in length. Upon completion, the required certificate is provided.

Cost is $250 and is offered twice per year. Class sizes are limited, held over a span of 15 sessions, covering a total of 30 hours. To register and pay for this class please call our office. You will also need to come in prior to the class and fill out paper work. A payment plan is available for this course for a small administrative fee.

Once registered, we can notify your probation officer to confirm enrollment. If such notification is requested, please complete the release of information forms and return to our office. Be sure to include the agents name and phone number.

 

All Classes are in Plano Office:

September 5 through October 24 on Tuesday and Thursdays

 

 

“Article 42.12, Section 13(j), Code of Criminal Procedure requires persons convicted of subsequent DWI offenses to attend a program for “repeat offenders” approved by TCADA. Failure to complete the program will result in license revocation of the offender. The license cannot be reinstated until educational courses are complete.”

Drug Offender Education Program

The required education for Drug Offender Offenses is 15 hours in length, held over a span of five days, Monday – Friday. Upon completion, the required certificate is provided.

Cost is $85 and is offered monthly. Class sizes are limited and payment in full is required to reserve space. To register and pay for this class please call our office. You will also need to come in prior to the class and fill out paper work.

“Section 521.371-521.377, Texas Transportation Code (formerly Article 6687b, Section 24B, Texas Civil Statutes) states that persons convicted of misdemeanor or felony drug offenses will automatically have their licenses suspended for a period of six months. For license reinstatement, offended must attend and successfully complete an education program on the dangers of drug abuse approved by the department. Failure to complete the program will result in the license being revoked indefinitely until education courses are complete.”

Space in each class is limited. We want to make sure we know you are coming, so please call, let us know via email by clicking on the appropriate tab on this page, or stop by our office today to make a payment. After you are registered, we ask that prior to the class you come by our office and fill out the paperwork necessary to give you credit for attending. The class is non-refundable and non-transferable unless the course is canceled. You MUST attend each scheduled class and be on time to have a successful completion.
